In the first half of the 20th century, Central American literature was dominated, thematically, by regionalism and the difficult prevailing social conditions. Between the sixties and eighties, especially through testimony, but also poetry, it was characterized by being at the service of revolutionary utopias, in a stage dominated by armed conflicts.
