Written in Italian and designed for a university course in contemporary Italian literature, this text is an overview of the history, culture and literature in the twentieth century in Italy, until the situation in the context of the European Union. Each historical picture follows the presentation of the most emblematic authors of the century, with passages of his most interesting works as well as biographical and cultural elements.
