In this book on democracy the main processes through which the people choose their representatives and political leaders are analyzed. The author analyzes six seasons and seven elections in recent history of Costa Rica. Despite the many changes that have developed in society, in regulating the elections, the campaigns themselves and their procedures, Costa Rican democracy persists in its own unique way.
