Introductory work that reviews and locates each one of the periods of the development of Anthropology between 1880 and the present in the political and socioeconomic context of the region. In addition, it analyzes the most representative works of each period and the academic meetings that served as a space for the consolidation of the discipline in the Central American public universities.
