This book is an approach to the first images of the central isthmus of America, during the colonial era; analyzes texts from Spanish and English travelers. It shows how the first images promoted an exquisite, abundant and inexhaustible geography: a paradise. Later, these included, in addition to natural geography, the human element, with which they populated nature with multiple descriptions of the natives and their cultures in a transculturation space; thus, the three essential factors were incorporated into civilizatory and cultural development: geography, subject and time.
